Walking, bathing, water sports, sailing, all the recreation you need during your holiday on the Côte d’Azur. Your memories of the fabulous beaches between Fréjus and Saint-Aygulf, looking out over the Mediterranean sea, will stay with you forever!

What’s more, from La Pierre Verte, you can discover them all!

The beach at Fréjus’ nature reserve extends along the Base Nature François Léotard. Perfect for families with children, it extends over several hundred metres. It is also the perfect setting for a walking and sports. The beaches of Saint-Aygulf can be found at the end of the nature reserve (although these are not accessible by foot because of the Argens river).

Opposite the swimming pool, the beach is equipped for visitors with reduced mobility, and offers free disabled parking. At Port Fréjus, the beach is located to the west and access is via Boulevard de la Mer. Its cul-de-sac location makes it ideal for families. What’s more, this beach offers panoramic views of the Bay of St Raphaël and the nature reserve. Next, head to Fréjus with its two vast sandy beaches. The first is a public beach that extends from Boulevard d’Alger to Boulevard de la Libération, with some restaurants and private beach areas. The second runs from Port Fréjus, along the nature reserve, to Saint-Aygulf. Several miles of sandy beach, paradise!

During your stay at our 4* camping village at Fréjus, you can also visit the seafront to discover the artisan markets. These are open in the morning (opening times available at reception) and also in the evening during high season at Fréjus beach!

FRÉJUS, “COEUR D’AZUR” (HEART OF AZUR), SEASIDE RESORT

Fréjus, a seaside resort in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, is a town with lots of art and culture, both traditional and modern, located between Cannes and Saint-Tropez. The first military port of the entire Roman Mediterranean, Fréjus (Forum Julii, the town’s Roman name), is steeped in history, a city of art and culture. With beautiful monuments, such as its arenas, amphitheatre (one of the largest in Gaul), the ruins of the thermal baths, an aqueduct and even the Porte des Gaules. You can also visit more recent constructions, such as the chapel designed by Jean Cocteau in 1961. Nestled between the Estérel and Maures Massifs, this is a holiday destination for all, with family or friends, including lovers of nature, the sea, recreation, outdoor activities, gastronomy, local Provençal produce, etc. A paradise within easy access of our camping village, with sumptuous white sandy beaches, the raw and authentic Estérel Massif, busy ports and urban city centres with tons of events!

Focus on nature with the Villepey lakes

When you stay at our nature-focused camping village at Fréjus, you simply must discover the magnificent Villepey lakes at Saint-Aygulf. A little bit of paradise nicknamed “LITTLE CAMARGUE”. With a combination of Mediterranean saltwater and freshwater from the Argens river, the lakes are a paradise for protected fauna and flora. They form one of the region’s rare coastal wetlands and a particularly interesting 260 ha protected site. Currently owned by the “Conservatoire du Littoral” (French coastal protection agency), this conservation site showcases the richness and fragility of our environment.
